a private ledger, not an account
Do more than a spreadsheet.
Share less than an app.
Offline Leger tracks bills, credit-card benefits, Klarna or Affirm payment plans, and savings goals, with a take-home estimate for every state. No bank login, no account, and no monthly fee.
for people who already have a spreadsheet
Your spreadsheet is private. It's just not doing very much.
If you're already tracking bills in Excel or Google Sheets, you had the right instinct about privacy. Here's what changes when the sheet does the work instead of you.
why nothing gets uploaded
The reason your spreadsheet felt safe is the reason this does too.
No bank login. No account. No server holding your numbers. Two-thirds of finance-app users worry about exactly that. Everything here runs in your browser, on your device, and stays there.
-
No bank connection, everYou type in balances yourself, so there's nothing to authorize and nothing to revoke later.
-
No account or sign-inThere's no login screen because there's nowhere for it to send you.
-
No analytics, no trackingNothing phones home. Your numbers stay on this device unless you export them yourself.

questions
FAQ
Does it work offline?+
Yes. Everything runs and saves in your browser's own storage. No connection needed day to day.
Do I need to connect my bank?+
No. You type in your own bills, cards, and balances. It takes a few minutes to set up, and there's no login to a bank or aggregator, ever.
Does it track Klarna, Afterpay, or Affirm?+
Yes. CFPB research found about a third of buy-now-pay-later users are juggling loans across more than one provider at a time. Credit bureaus are only just starting to take in BNPL data, and it's inconsistent between providers, so there's still no single place that shows your combined total across all of them. Add a payment plan once here and it counts against your leftover number automatically, the same way a bill does, right up until it's paid off.
What if I clear my browser data?+
Whatever's stored locally goes with it. Export a CSV backup whenever you like. One click, and it's yours to keep.
Does it handle my state's taxes?+
The take-home estimate covers all 50 states plus DC. New York uses its real bracket structure; every other state uses a simplified flat approximation, clearly labeled in the app.
the fine print
Terms, privacy, and refunds.
Short on purpose. Read the whole thing before you buy if it matters to you.
Terms of use+
Buying Offline Leger gets you a personal, non-transferable license to run the one file you downloaded, on your own devices, for your own household budgeting. You can't resell it, redistribute it, host it for other people, or strip this notice out and pass it off as your own.
It's provided as is, with no guarantee it's error-free, uninterrupted, or fits any particular purpose. To the extent the law where you live allows it, our liability for anything arising from Offline Leger, including financial decisions you make using it, tax estimates it gives you, or data loss, is limited to what you paid for it, and we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Since everything lives in your browser's own storage, we'd genuinely recommend exporting a CSV backup every so often, the same way you'd back up a spreadsheet.
The $49 is a one-time purchase. It includes free access to future updates to this same file, for as long as we keep making them.
Privacy policy+
The app itself: everything you type in stays in your own browser's local storage, on your own device. Nothing is sent to us. There's no account, no analytics, and no tracking script anywhere on the app page. This storefront page you're reading right now doesn't run analytics either; if that ever changes, this notice will say so first.
When you buy: our payment processor, Paddle, collects your payment and contact details directly to process the purchase and deliver your download. We never see or store your card number. Their own privacy policy covers how they handle that part.
Questions about any of this: offlineleger@gmail.com.
Refund policy+
Offline Leger is an instant digital download, so once it's delivered, the sale is final, except where the law where you live requires otherwise. There's no way for us to "return" a file once you have it, which is why the price is set where it is instead of relying on a refund window to build trust.
If your download is genuinely broken or never arrived, that's on us to fix. Email offlineleger@gmail.com and we'll sort it out.
